Who We Are

Doris Gallan and Jacob Frank, co-founders of Baby Boomers Traveling, planned and executed their voyages to 50+ countries on all 7 continents. They’ve been around the world twice and have lived in five countries. After two years of constant travel, they lived in Mexico, Costa Rica and China where Jacob taught English as a foreign language while Doris wrote.

Doris penned the book on Baby Boomers and travel. The Boomers’ Guide to Going Abroad to Travel / Live / Give / Learn is the solution to a problem she consistently encountered throughout her travels: a lack of resources and information to meet the specific needs of her generation.

Jacob has over 15 years of corporate communications experience planning and implementing campaigns in private and public organizations including multi-national corporations, consulting firms, utilities and schools in the areas of management communications, change management, technology, language and diversity.

Doris received her MBA with concentrations in Strategic Marketing and Planning from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University. Her career has included positions Director of External Relations at the University of Southern California, senior management consultant, corporate communicator, and reporter. Past employers include the Orange County Tourism Commission (CA) and the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Tourism.
