This mountain-top temple is one of few cultural relics (but only 58 years old) not obliterated by the rising Yangtze River. It is a Buddhist temple featuring a great variety of statues and paintings of gods and guardians. We climbed many steps to get there and had hoped for a beautiful view of the area but the pollution haze was just too thick. Jacob and I did cross a bridge, hand in hand, that will ensure we return in future roles as husband and wife so it was all worthwhile.
