Sex in the Jungle! – South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

South Luangwa National Park in Northeast Zambia is worth a four to five day stop as there is much to explore. A morning game drive provides the opportunity to see giraffes, elephants, hippos, antelopes, monkeys, buffalos and many birds.

The early morning or evening drives are cool and so warm clothing – and even a blanket or sleeping bag – is a good idea.

Campers are warned to allow enough space between tents so that elephants may cross through without walking on anyone’s shelter (especially with them in it). While no tents were destroyed, we did have an entertaining episode when a couple of elephants visited the campsite during the day. As we watched from a tree platform, the elephants spent at least an hour trashing clean laundry belonging to our guide that had been left to hang on a line between two trees.
