A six-hour shuttle to the Red Sea is available as is a nine to ten hour bus to Geziret el-Dahab, more commonly referred to as Dahab. A nice little hotel on the beach cost us only $18 for the night – with breakfast included!
This place is a wonderful location for doing very little with most beach-side restaurant providing a lot of lounging space under the cover of awnings to keep the hot sun away from burning us. We spent four days here doing very little except sleeping, eating, a little swimming and a lot of relaxing. We came here intending to do some snorkeling and maybe taking a few tours to the surrounding mountains but got too lazy.
