I Write to Share My Travel Knowledge
Every career I’ve had—and like many boomers I’ve had a good number of them—has put a premium on my writing skills. But it wasn’t until I began writing full time and working for myself that I got the opportunity to enjoy my talents fully. What better position exists than to bring together all of your passions into one job?
I’ve been working on blogs—my own and many guest posts on boomer and travel blogs—as well as websites, books and booklets; workshops and seminars; and pretty much anything I can get my hands on. Here are some of my current and recent works:
- The Boomers’ Guide to Going Abroad to Travel * Live * Give * Learn (click here for a free excerpt)
- Opening Doors: A Mini Guide for Baby Boomers Traveling (click here to learn how you can obtain a free copy of this booklet)
- The travel blogger for boomer website About55: www.about55.com
- My writer’s website: www.dorisgallan.com
- My 26-month round-the-world blog: http://www.travelpost.com/travel/dj-rtw
The demand for information to help boomers plan and undertake travel is growing fast, so I’ll be busy creating many new books and booklets, including these upcoming products:
- The Boomers’ Guide to Choosing Destinations & Packaged Travel
- The Boomers’ Guide to Capturing Memories: Blogging, Journaling & Photographing Your Travels
- The Boomers’ Guide to Traveling With a Mission & Volunteer Vacations
